Vilasrao Deshmukh meets Sonia Gandhi

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here on Monday.

Among other matters he discussed the latest set of grievances aired recently by State Revenue Minister Narayan Rane.

Mr Rane, who was here last week, told journalists that he had given in his resignation to Ms. Gandhi.

He is reportedly upset with the Chief Minister for allotting a plot of land to a private company at “cheap rates,” a charge denied by Mr. Deshmukh.
