Celebrity guests to adorn ‘10 Ka Dum’ on I-Day special

The Independence Day special of ‘10 Ka Dum’ on Sony Entertainment Television will have celebrity guests Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Minnisha Lamba who have all acted in the upcoming film “Bachna Ae Hasseno.”

Standing on the studio floor, young Ranbir got emotional when he said it was a special occasion for him to be shooting at the R.K. Studio. “My grandfather shot his first film ‘Aag’ in this very studio. My dad shot for his first film ‘Bobby’ on this very floor and now I am standing here.”

The show’s host, Salman Khan, made it even more memorable for Ranbir by presenting him a painting of his grandfather Raj Kapoor. It was a special gift from Salman who put his artistic impressions to good use.

When Sallu Bhai introduced the vivacious Deepika on the show, she smiled her usual 100 watt smile and remarked: “Thank God you did not introduce me as Shantipriya.” Salman thought for a moment and then replied: “Oh you were Shanti of ‘Om Shanti Om.’ Later, Deepika said she looked forward to working with him and Salman jocularly remarked it was possible only if the height difference between the two did not pose a problem.

During the show, Salman also presented a white towel to Ranbir, who is synonymous with the towel song in his debut film. And then asked him naughtily: “But why would you want a towel to dance in your own room? In my room, I dance without it.”

And while talking about “Bachna Ae Haseeno,” he asked Ranbir: “Your film has been shot at various locations around the world. The farthest Sanjay Bhansali took us for ‘Saanwariya’ was, I think, Aksa beach.”
