Association demands filling of posts

PUDUCHERRY: The Association of Grant in Aid Schools in Puducherry urged the government to fill the 266 new posts created in 2006 and 187 posts which had been promoted immediately.

The association in a release said the government should immediately fill the vacancies which have been pending for a long time keeping in mind the welfare of the students.

The entire pension amount should be given after calculating from the date of appointment, it added.

For teachers who had not received their salaries for May, June and July, the government should give the grant immediately.
