Teenage girl found dead

VILLUPURAM: A 19-year-old girl, a resident of Siruvalai in Vikkiravandi block, was found dead in a sugarcane farm at Orathur near here on Monday. The police said on August 6 Sumathi went along with her mother to Villupuram to buy new clothes. After shopping, the girl told her mother that she would be going to the Ramakrishna school to collect her Plus Two mark-sheets. However, as she did not return home even at night her parents lodged a police complaint. The body was sent to the Villupuram government hospital for post-mortem.
