KDFA planning international tournament
KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode District Football Association (KDFA) is planning to conduct an international football tournament after the work on lighting up the Corporation Stadium here is completed.
“We had discussed this with the Mayor M. Bhaskaran, who told us that the floodlights would be ready by October,” said P. Haridas, secretary, KDFA, at a press conference here on Tuesday.
The KDFA has also decided to organise a women’s football league from next season.
“We also plan to start an academy for the girls in the under-12 section,” said Haridas.
