CPI (M) demand

VIZIANAGARAM: Communist Party of India (M) district committee has demanded appointment of an independent expert committee to probe the Thotapalli river gap breach rather than asking Joint Collector and Chief Engineer (irrigation) to unearth the facts.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, party secretary M. Krishna Murty said that the fact about the breach whether it was due to floods to the river Nagavali or it was done by department officials as they claimed to save inundation of villages could be known only if an independent committee of experts was appointed.
