Demolition drive

Kakinada: The special drive of demolishing illegal constructions in Kakinada will commence soon unless the stipulated penalties are not paid under the Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS).

Notices have already been despatched to the owners of such buildings and their failure to comply with the norms will result in the demolition for which teams comprising civic officials and earth movers are readied, according to Joint Collector and Kakinada Municipal Corporation (KMC) special officer G.S.R.K.R. Vijay Kumar.
