Sandeep shines

CUDDALORE: S. Sandeep Kumar’s eight-wicket haul helped Kancheepuram bundle out Cuddalore for 85 on the opening day in the pre-quarterfinals of the TNCA inter-district under-19 cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

At stumps, Kancheepuram was 179 for the loss of seven wickets.

Karthik Raja 53 n.o., Amit Singh four for 42) vs. Salem 143 for five in 51 overs (K. Venkatapathy 53 n.o). At Namakkal: Tiruvannamalai DCA 130 in 50.2 overs (Arun 39, S. Navas 40, M.
