Army donates school block

NAUSHERA: To spread literacy and enhance the general standard of living of the people of this border area, the Naushera Brigade has been working diligently in the less developed areas, undertaking several projects under its “Sadbhavana” programme.

In one such noteworthy venture, the Government Middle School in Nonial was given a students block comprising two additional classrooms with veranda and toilet.

The addition to the existing school building has provided a suitable classroom for students who were forced to study in the open for want of inadequate classrooms.

Dedicating the classrooms to the school recently, the Brigade Commander of Naushera Brigade thanked the locals for their spontaneous cooperation and assured them of continued assistance from the Army in future projects for their development.

The local populace applauded the efforts of the Army and the un-stinted cooperation that has been extended on numerous occasions. They also promised their collaboration in all future endeavours.

The Commanding Officer, Kalsian Battalion and other civil and military officials were also present on the occasion.
