Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday directed the investigating officer in the Sr. Abhaya case to appear before the court on August 18 with all relevant documents of the case. The directive was passed by Justice V. Ramkumar on a petition filed by the CBI seeking to adjourn the case .The CBI said that the investigation officer was unable to appear before the court on Tuesday as directed by the court. ReservationJustice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan on Tuesday held that all appointments to the posts of cashier/clerk in the Alappuzha District Cooperative Bank made before February 25, 1985 should be treated as recruitment made without any classification on the basis of caste, creed or colour. The judge, while dismissing the bank’s petition against the Cooperative Registrar’s order, observed that reservation of posts for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates as mandated by Section 80(4) of the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act could be achieved only by making appointments against vacancies arising after the introduction of the section. The section on reservation was incorporated in the Act in 1985
