Economic blockade

BERHAMPUR: Villagers of Ambadala in Rayagada district started economic blockade against the Vedanta Alumina Limited on Tuesday. Trucks of the company used to carry Bauxite ore were stranded near the village. The villagers of Ambadala demanded the company to provide employment to the youths of Bauxite mining areas of Rayagada district as it was getting 70 per cent of its ore from the district. The Rayagada Collector and the SP have called upon a delegation to discuss the matter.
