Indrajith scalps four

Chennai: B. Indrajith of St. Bede’s ‘A’ grabbed four wickets for seven runs to dismiss Vidya Mandir for 119 on the first day of the TNCA-Boost Cup under-16 Schools cricket tournament final, here on Tuesday.

St. Bede’s ‘A’ ended the day in a position of strength at 92 for one.

Aravind sparkles

Ra. Aravind (104, 169b, 16x4, 1x6) sparkled as City XI grabbed a 221-run first innings lead over Combined Districts in the under-22 match for the Nanal Srinivasan Trophy at the SRMC ground here on Tuesday.

R. Rajath and Namey Kedia scalped three wickets each and scored half-centuries as Chinmaya Vidyalaya beat Modern SSS by eight wickets in the SMCA Independence Day under-13 cricket tournament, here on Tuesday.

Vijay Anand excels

V. Vijay Anand’s all round show was the highlight of Modern Senior Secondary School’s 73-run win over Vyasa Vidyalaya MHSS in the final of the inaugural Kancheepuram DCA inter-school tournament held recently.
