Flying Rudolph wins

Hyderabad: M/s. S. Prasad Raju, K. Malli Karjuna Rao, B.S. Kumar and Prit Pal Singh Gandhi’s Flying Rudolph (Chary up) won the Stewards Cup, the main event of the races held here on Tuesday (Aug. 12). The winner is trained by Prasad R.

Jockey dead: K. Suresh passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday afternoon. It may be recalled that he had a fall while riding Amazing Act in the Sangareddy Plate (Div. I) at Malakpet on Aug.3, when his saddle slipped near the 200 metre mark. The Kerala-native and popular rider had been in the hospital’s intensive care unit right from admission till the end came.
