Hotel staff pushed off roof dies

Kolkata: The employee of a hotel in Midnapore, West Bengal, who was allegedly pushed off the hotel’s terrace by members of a television reality show unit during a scuffle on Saturday, died here on Monday.

Prasun Adhikary was admitted to the State-run SSKM hospital with head and limb injuries. Three persons, including the two producers of the reality show, were arrested shortly after.

The hotel authorities alleged that the reality show unit members, in an inebriated state, pushed him down, during an argument. Relatives of the victim demonstrated outside the Midnapore Kotwali thana demanding that the guilty be punished.
