Importance of mother’s milk stressed

TIRUPATTUR: Mothers should necessarily feed their newborns as mother’s milk alone will help a child develop immunity to diseases. This will bring down infant mortality rate, which is on the higher side in the district, Vellore Collector Dharmendra Pratap Yadav said here on Wednesday.
He was participating in the International Mother’s Milk Week celebrations organised at Laila Durairaj Marriage Hall. Tirupattur Sub Division Sub Collector Ashish Kumar said that taking proper care of a child was one of the big responsibilities of the mother.
