PUDUCHERRY: Facilitating easy access of journal literature, the Ananda Rangapillai Library of Pondicherry University launched the UGC-INFONET J-Gate Custom Content for Consortium (JCCC) on Tuesday. According to a press release, the JCCC acts as a single point gateway for accessing, searching and sharing journal literature, which has been subscribed by UGC-INFONET consortium and 22 individual university libraries. The University library was identified as one of the 22 document delivery centres in the country to facilitate access to research through providing journal articles. Launching the facility on the occasion of the Librarians’ Day, Vice-Chancellor of the University J.A.K. Chairman and Managing Director of Informatics, the architect of JCCC detailed the need and benefits of JCC. Training Manager from Informatics Ravi Shankar demonstrated the use of JCCC for better access to journal literature. University Librarian R. Samyuktha and Deputy Librarian V.
