Uzhavar Sandhai for Pallappatti

KARUR: A new Uzhavar Sandhai would soon be established at Pallappatti in Karur district, according to Collector T.N. Venkatesh.

Speaking after inspecting the preparatory works for establishing the sandhai, Mr. Venkatesh said that the shandy would come up at a cost of Rs. 22.50 lakh. The sandhai would have 23 sheds for vegetable vendors, a vehicle parking lot and drinking water facility. He directed Agricultural Engineering Department officials to expedite the works.
