Penitential rites

Guruvayur: The second phase of the penitential rites recommended by a devaprasam held at the Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple was completed on Wednesday. The rites began at 4 a.m.

‘Thila Homam’ was performed. Thirteen Brahmins took part in ‘Kal Kazhuki Choottu’ ceremony. Guruvayur Devaswom chairman Thottathil Ravindran submitted offerings to the deity in a silver vessel.
