Discussions on MLAs’ security

PUDUCHERRY: Speaker R. Radhakrishnan said on Wednesday that he would call a meeting of higher police officials in the Union Territory to discuss issues relating to enhancing security for all Members of the Legislative Assembly.

Replying to queries on an anonymous letter issuing a threat to Education Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan, the Speaker said he was informed about it. “The issue would be looked into seriously at the meeting ,” he said.

In a message, Mr. Radhakrishnan greeted Abhinav Bindra for winning gold at the Beijing Olympics.
