Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Retired employees of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) will get pension at the revised rates with retrospective effect from August 2003.

A long-pending proposal for this from the KSEB was approved by the Cabinet here on Wednesday. At the time of the last pay revision, the serving employees were given benefits at the new rates with retrospective effect from August 2003, while the pensioners got theirs only from the date of announcement of the revised benefits.

The minimum pension stands revised from Rs.1,200 to Rs.2,400 a month and the maximum pension from Rs.9,950 to Rs.16,875 effective from August 2003. Those receiving ‘ex gratia pension’ too will receive their benefits at the revised rates with effect from August 2003.
