Approval for IIST land

Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet approved acquisition of 40 acres for the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) in Karipur village of Nedumangad taluk here at the price recommended by the State-level purchase committee.

About 200 acres of government land at Vithura Jersey Farm, which belonged to the Animal Husbandry Department would be given for the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan said after the Cabinet meeting here.
