Exhibition on global warming launched

NEW DELHI: The sixth cartoon exhibition by cartoonist Irfan was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit here on Tuesday.
The exhibition, at Experimental Art Gallety at India Habitat Centre, is open till Thursday. Focussing on “Global Warming,” it has tried to put out various problems, causes and solutions of the growing environmental hazard through the eyes and hands of a cartoonist.
During the launch of the event, a souvenir was also released.
Ms. Dikshit said Delhi’s green cover has improved significantly in the past 10 years. Also, lauding Irfan’s work, she said his cartoons express what words cannot. The programme was also attended by BSP leader Shahid Siddique.
