LUCKNOW: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh arrested a Pakistani ISI agent, Mohammad Masroor alias Manzoor Ansari and a Jamiatul Mujahideen terror operative, Fayyaz Ahmed Mir from Bahraich and Ghaziabad respectively late on Tuesday night. They belong to Karachi and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan. ADG, Law and Order and STF, Brij Lal told reporters that Masroor was living in the Charbagh area in Lucknow under an assumed name of Ramesh Chaudhary and was working in the showroom of Banaras Glass House. He said that interrogation revealed that the ISI agent did his schooling in Ibrahim Ali Bhai Government School, Lasbela in Karachi and later came in contact with the ISI officers. He was imparted six months training where he was shown the entry and exit points on India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh borders, was taught to read and write Hindi language and methods to enter the Cantonment areas. Documents pertaining to Indian Army, a photograph of Ordnance Factory, Kanpur, a map of Cantonment area, tickets, pocket diary, mobile phone, driving licence and ration card were seized from him. About the terrorist, Fayyaz Ahmed, Mr. Lal said he entered India via Nepal on August 5, 2008 and was in touch with the commander of Jamiat ul Mujahideen , General Abdullah. Interrogations revealed that he had been assigned the job of committing a terrorist act along with some other Pakistanis, the ADG said.
