TDP former MLA resigns from party

Staff Reporter

NIZAMABAD: TDP former MLA T. Arunatara announced her resignation to the party’s primary membership at Bichkunda mandal headquarter town, on Wednesday.

Announcing this at a press conference, she said she was quitting the party following the “unilateral and dictatorial attitude” of the party district president and former Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. She also said that she was vexed at party president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s unstinting support to Mr. Srinivas Reddy despite his undemocratic ways.

She was leaving the party with a large number of her followers in the Jukkal Assembly Reserved (SC) constituency. “Soon I will take a decision regarding my political future”, she said.

Though Ms. Tara did not make it clear, it is said that she would join the yet-to-be-formed Chiranjeevi’s party.
