State transport workers to join strike

CHENNAI: State Transport Corporation workers in Tamil Nadu will participate in the one day all-India strike on August 20 in support of various demands of the working class.

Leaders of the CITU, LPF and AITUC met here on Wednesday and decided to join the strike, called by various trade unions at a meeting held in Delhi in May last. mployees of various cooperative banks will also observe the strike on August 20, according to general secretary of the All-India Cooperative Bank Employees Federation.— Special Correspondent
