Cash award for top five innovations

Staff Reporter

MADURAI: A database of all indigenous inventions made in the State is being created by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology to see if some of them could be put in the domain of the common man.

Also, a scheme to present cash awards to the best five innovations has been launched to encourage scientific temper. The council recently sent a circular to 300 educational institutions, including universities and colleges, to submit their innovative technology models by August 31, for being considered for the award and inclusion in the State-level database.
