Kubendran stars for State Bank with a hat-trick

Chennai: K. Kubendran achieved a hat-trick during his six for 58 in State Bank’s six-wicket win over Vijay’s RC in a fourth division ‘C’ cricket match of the TNCA league, here recently.

KDCA triumphs

Kancheepuram DCA claimed the Jaya Educational Trust trophy (under-16), defeating Coimbatore by two wickets in the final.

Md. Imran picked up four wickets for 28 in the final for Kancheepuram.

Final: Coimbatore 146 in 40 overs (Dheer Behimani 36, Aushik Srinivasan 30, Bharth Chezian 34, Md. Imran four for 28, S.R. Hari Krish three for 33) lost to Kancheepuram 147 for eight in 38.4 overs (S. Niranjan 33, V. Vijay Anand 60).

Semifinal: Kancheepuram 223 for five in 40 overs (S. Omesh 71, V. Vijay Anand 102, V. Ashok 25 not out) bt Thiruvallur 153 in 37 overs (Siddarth 30, Sulthan 30).

Union Christian posts win

Ashwin scored a half-century for Union Christian MHSS in its 53-run win over Lady Andal MHSS in the MCC HSS’s 1960 Batch Alumni inter-school rolling trophy tournament here on Wednesday.

The scores: Union Christian MHSS 132 for eight in 22 overs (Ashwin 53, Harsha Vardhan three for 22) bt Lady Andal MHSS 79 in 19.2 overs (John 29, Koshy three for 18).
