First trade licence issuance camp soon

NEW DELHI: After adopting a revised and simplified policy for issuance and renewal of trade and storage licence at the Standing Committee meeting held in July, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is all set to organise its first special camp for issuance of trade licences at Krishna Nagar from this week.
The decision was announced at a meeting of the Standing Committee held here on Wednesday. The MCD House too passed the revised policy at its meeting held on Tuesday.
Standing Committee chairman Vijender Gupta said: “The civic body has come out with a booklet containing details on the new policy and to make citizens aware of the necessary procedures and formalities, the MCD would also be publishing advertisements in leading newspapers on the new trade license policy.”
The civic body has also set up a committee to look into the issue of creating an online system for issuance of factory licenses which would submit its report by September 1.The online system is also proposed to be extended for issuance of trade licenses on similar lines.
