Fertilizer crunch continues

Sangareddy: Fertilizer is still being distributed at the police stations here and Patancheru mandals as the demand for the complex nutrients exceeded the present supply. Police had a tough time managing the farmers who were eager to buy the fertilizer after good rain in some of the mandals in Medak district. However, irate farmers damaged the furniture at Jinnaram Tahasildar’s office on Thursday as the revenue officials allegedly failed to keep the promise that the fertilizer would arrive. — Staff Reporter
