Meeting to focus on party, government programmes Chief Minister will address the valedictory session HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) is organising Gandhi Patham, a State-level one-day orientation programme for its cadres on Sunday. APCC coordinator for the training programme Kommineni Seshagiri Rao said the meeting would deliberate on the party and government programmes, achievements and other organisational matters. Around 300 selected delegates would attend the meeting. A press release issued here on Thursday said the programme would be inaugurated by AICC general secretary M. Veerappa Moily at KJR gardens in the city. APCC president D. Srinivas will preside over the inaugural function while Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will address the valedictory session the same day. Meanwhile, Mr. Srinivas visited National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD) at Rajendranagar to inspect the arrangements for the two-day AICC workshop for the PCC spokespersons of South Indian States beginning on Saturday. Union Ministers -- Pranab Mukherjee, P. Chidambaram and Meira Kumar -- and AICC office-bearers Jayanti Natarajan, Abhishek Singhvi, Veerappa Moily and others will speak on nuclear deal and other government programmes. Chief Minister and the APCC chief will also participate.
