Tiwari, YSR greet people
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Governor N.D. Tiwari greeted the people of the State on the eve of 62nd Independence Day on Friday.
In a message, the Chief Minister said the State was put on the path of growth after the Congress government came to power with agriculture growth reaching 8.6 per cent and Gross State Domestic Product touching 10.67 per cent.
In his message, the Governor wanted the people to take a pledge, individually and collectively, to strive to uphold the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Lok Satta Party president Jayaprakash Narayan underlined the need for promoting a sense of nationalism among the youth so that the nation could tackle the grim challenge it was facing.
