Six more hotels shut down
GHMC urges hoteliers to maintain hygienic conditions
HYDERABAD: Continuing its drive against unhygienic eating places in the city, the GHMC’s health and sanitation wing had shut down six more establishments including the noted, Alex’s Kitchen on Thursday.
Other hotels that were closed were Jani Café, Liberty Centre; S.S. Andhra Tiffins & Tea Chinese Fast Food, Domalguda; Hardeez Tea & Snacks, Uday Darshini Tiffins, Himayatnagar and Abhilash Delux Mess, Himayatnagar.
Commissioner and Special Officer C.V.S.K. Sarma urged all hoteliers to cooperate with municipal authorities in preventing water and food borne diseases by keeping their respective premises as well as kitchens neat. Water supplied by the HMWSSB has to be used and water purification systems must be installed.
The Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Jairam, made it clear that even road side vendors should use HMWSSB water besides disposable glasses and plates.
