Krishnan and Mahadevan pairing wins
CHENNAI: S. Krishnan and A. Mahadevan emerged winners in the North-South direction in the Alumni Club-TTK monthly bridge tournament on Wednesday. At the end of the event, K.R. Venkataraman, who recently won the Wernher Trophy at Las Vegas partnering Sunit Choksi, was felicitated.
Santhalakshmi and S. Balakrishnan won the East-West direction.
Runners-up: N-S: Boaz & James; E-W: S. Raghuraman & S. Kailasam.
St. Joseph’s triumphs
St. Joseph’s College of Engineering won the Bharathi Club inter-Collegiate women’s volleyball tournament at Puduchery recently.
League match results: St. Joseph’s bt PSGR Krishnammal College of Arts and Science (Bangalore) 25-14, 25-14; bt SRM University 25-11, 25-15; bt Ethiraj College 25-16, 25-15.
