BSNL introduces new scheme

PUDUCHERRY: The BSNL, Puducherry has launched several new schemes for its customers to commemorate the 62nd Independence Day.

A release issued by the BSNL Puducherry, office said customers can send SMS to “04132900198” to clear their doubts on any of the telecom services provided by them.

A new prepaid SIM card KURUNJI with 12 years validity had also been launched, the release further said. The new SIM card priced at Rs. 249 has a talk time value of Rs 30.

While local calls to any network mobile and landline will be charged 0.99 paise per minute, STD calls will be charged at the rate of Rs. 1.50 per minute, the release said.

On the Independence Day, the staff of BSNL along with their direct selling agents organised a “free SIM Thiruvizha” near its office to provide the facility for those interested to join the scheme, the release said.
