10-day Urus ends

VALANCHERY: A 10-day Urus marking the 11th death anniversary of M.K. Mohammed Koya Thangal concluded at Pulamanthol, near here, with a public function attended by several Muslim scholars.

Koyakutty Musaliar, vice-president of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, led the final prayers.

Panakkad Sameerali Shihab Thangal led a mass ziyarat at the shrine of Mohammed Koya Thangal. Former Minister for Education Nalakath Soopy inaugurated a cultural meet held in connection with the programme. Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama leader Kottumala Bappu Musaliar inaugurated the public meeting.
