Subsidy for entrepreneurs
Kakinada: The State Government has decided to give 15 per cent subsidy to prospective entrepreneurs belonging to non–reserved categories and 25 per cent to members of Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Tribes and minorities to encourage them to set up khadi and village industries in urban areas as well. Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Minister for Industries G. Surya Rao said the maximum unit cost could be Rs. 25 lakhs and that the scheme was aimed at augmenting the job opportunities in urban areas where the demand (for jobs) had been growing at a phenomenal rate.
