Deer dies

ATTUR: A spotted deer, which had strayed into human habitations, died near Talavasal on Friday. Sources said that the animal, which strayed into Anna Nagar in Siruvachur village, was chased and attacked by a pack of dogs. Residents in the area rescued the deer and rushed it to a veterinary dispensary. But the deer died. The carcass of the animal was then handed over to forest department.
