MCD to auction its old vehicles

NEW DELHI: Municipal Corporation of Delhi Standing Committee chairman Vijender Gupta has said that the civic body would auction all its vehicles including cars, trucks, loaders and tractors that have became unserviceable and beyond economical repair over the years. The civic body has kept the reserve price at Rs.5 crore. Mr. Gupta said keeping these vehicles in the condemnation yard was of no use and it blocked workshop space and become a source for mosquito breeding.
