Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday appointed Pankaj Agarwal as the Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), an official release said. Agarwal was earlier posted as Principal Secretary, Planning. His appointment came after Lalit Srivastava, IAS, was removed from his position of CEO, GNIDA, following the death of five people in violence over acquisition of farmers’ land by the government, officials said. Srivastava, however, continues to be the chairman of GNIDA.
