Karshaka Bhavan to be built

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Agriculture Department is planning to build a Karshaka Bhavan in the State capital for the benefit of farmers coming from various parts of the State. The State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) set up with Central assistance will function from the Bhavan. An agricultural museum, library and information centre will also be set up in the complex. Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Retnakaran will lay the foundation stone for the Bhavan at Anayara on August 17. Mayor C. Jayan Babu will preside. — Special Correspondent
