Etihad Airways launches Chennai-Abu Dhabi flight

CHENNAI: Etihad Airways, national airlines of the United Arab Emirates, has started services from Chennai to Abu Dhabi.

Talking to reporters here, James Hogan, Chief Executive Officer, said the airlines would operate two-class Airbus A320. Each flight could carry 140 passengers (20 business class and the rest economy).

Flight EY267 will leave Chennai at 3.15 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and reach Abu Dhabi at 5.45 p.m. the same day. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, EY269 will leave Chennai at 9 p.m. and reach Abu Dhabi at 11.30 p.m.

EY266 will leave Abu Dhabi at 8.05 a.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and land in Chennai at 2.30 p.m. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, the service will run as flight EY268, which will leave Abu Dhabi at 2.25 p.m. and reach Chennai at 8.05 p.m.

Mr. Hogan said the airlines operated three cargo flights from India.
