Veeramani thanks Karunanidhi

CHENNAI: Dravidar Kazhagam president K. Veeramani has thanked Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for announcing pay schemes worth Rs.200 crore for 2.2 lakh noon meal workers in his Independence Day speech. He also appreciated the Chief Minister’s announcement, bringing the pay of 10 lakh State government employees on the lines of the Pay Commission recommendations for Central government employees. — Special Correspondent
