HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh sub-junior girls’ team to take part in the sub-junior National hockey championship to be held in Rourkela from August 24 to 31 was named here. The team was finalised during the on-going preparatory camp at Gachibowli attended by 40 players. “All the selected players will also play in the AP junior inter-district girls’ championship in Tirupati, sponsored by Vaishnavi Engineering College, from August 18 to 21,” Prasanna Kumar Reddy, secretary of the AP Women’s Hockey Association said. The team: Ch. Gowri (goalkeeper), K. Mamatha, G. Poornima, M. Geetha, G. Varalakshmi, T. Rajani, M. Deva Kumari, G. Jhansi, B. Madhavi, R. Kavitha, D. Sree Kanya, M. Hemalatha, N. Sowjanya and P.
