Two killed

New Delhi: Two persons died after they were trapped inside a well in outer Delhi’s Hamidpur area on Friday.

Police said Dheeraj first went inside the well to repair an electric motor around 9-30 a.m. but rains prevented him from coming out.

Subsequently, some villagers gathered near the well and one Vaidyanath, a labourer, went inside to rescue Dheeraj.

Both Dheeraj and Vaidyanath were trapped inside and died due to poisonous gas emanating from the well, the police said. -- PTI
