MLA detained

NEW DELHI: A Samajwadi Party MLA from Langi in Madhya Pradesh, who had recently threatened to commit self-immolation if his demand for a separate Vidarbha State was not met, was detained when he was on his way to the Prime Minister’s 7 Race Course Road official residence here on Friday.

A few days ago, Mr. Kishore Samrite had threatened to commit suicide outside the Prime Minister’s residence on Independence Day.

He was intercepted by the police when he was going towards Race Course Road.

The police later released him.
