Health camp benefits villagers

Over 600 people screened for diseases

METTUR: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Chemplast Sanmar here organised a general health camp at Vaidheeswara Vidya Mandir Matriculation High School here for the benefit of villagers recently.
K. Annamalai, Assistant Director, Health Department, inaugurated the camp in which local body representatives and functionaries from various political parties participated.
The health camp was conducted by medical experts from Manipal Hospital, Salem, in diabetes, orthopaedics, cardiology and paediatrics. As many as 600 people benefited from this camp.
Urine and blood sugar samples were taken and ECG was taken for the needy.
Dr. R. Harihara Puthran, vice-president (operations), Dr. R. Kalilasam and Dr. P. Saravanan, medical officers of the company, made the arrangements for the camp.
K. Ramasubramanian, senior manager (Public Relations), welcomed the gathering.
