Abhinav Bindra arrives home

Welcome Home: Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra’s father talking with media persons outside his house at SAS Nagar in Punjab on Saturday.

CHANDIGARH: Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra has reached home, 15 kms from here and decided to celebrate his homecoming with his close family members only.

“My son has come home after four months. He is very tired. All he wants is a little peace,” said A. S. Bindra standing outside the gates of his farmhouse.

Senior Bindra thanked the countymen for the love and support that Abhinav received. “I am overwhelmed by the appreciation he has received. The fact is that despite having everything in life, my son has gone through a lot of sufferings to achieve this. During the last four months he had been undergoing strict training in four countries.”

Abhinav’s childhood friend Ranjit Bajaj said, “Abhinav played with his dogs for a while and fell asleep.”

Bindra farms was surrounded by media, a number of his fans and dance troops.
