Anatharam of Mangalore on the top board to win the FIDE-rated Karnataka State sub-juniors open chess championship at the Subramanya Sabha Hall, here on Saturday. In the girls’ section, Nisha Patkar of Shimoga emerged the champion after outclassing Shalon Joanne Pais of Mangalore. The results (final rounds): Boys : Yashas D. (8) bt Anatharam R.U. (6), Kiran A. (6) lost to Gahan M.G. (7.5), Navalgund Niranjan (6) lost to Antonio Viani D’Cunha (7), Shreeshan S. (7) bt Nihal Manjunath (5.5), Karthik H.S. (6) bt Sanjith Shenoy (5.5), M.
