MACHILIPATNAM: Governor N.D. Tiwari was slightly indisposed upon arrival here on Saturday to participate in two programmes, but recovered soon after he took rest for two hours on the advice of doctors who attended on him. The Governor arrived by a helicopter from Hyderabad at 12.45 p.m. to participate in a function organised by the Krishna Zilla Parishad which last year secured ISO certification and also to unveil a bronze statue of backward class leader Gouthu Lachchanna. Soon after his arrival, Mr. Tiwari complained of weakness and was taken to the R&B guest house, where local government physician Dr. Rangaraja Rao attended on him. Dr. Rao told The Hindu that Dr. Tiwari had taken some anti-diabetic and hypertension drugs before coming here, which reduced his blood sugar levels and BP . After an hour’s rest and lunch, the Governor went ahead with the scheduled programmes which were delayed by more than two hours.
