HYDERABAD: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu continued to shower promises on people, as he arrived here after the conclusion of his 117-day first phase of ‘Mee kosam’ yatra on Saturday.

Mr. Naidu was given a rousing welcome by partymen at Shamshabad airport late in the afternoon. He resumed his yatra by road in the city on the final stretch while going home.

He told a roadside meeting at Puranapul that the TDP would construct houses free of cost for the poor, however high the unit cost, if it was returned to power.

At Shamshabad earlier, Mr. Naidu alleged that the real estate sector took a beating in RR district as Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and his relatives had cornered one lakh acres of land. He observed that he undertook the yatra for a first-hand understanding of the problems of the poor. He promised to stand by the poor. The TDP president was driven in a huge procession from the airport.
